History of Bielsko began in 14th century when in 1312 first information resurfaced about this city. Biala, from a small hamlet, became a village according to the old informations from 1550. In the 19th century, a process bagan of joining Bielsko and Biala and in January 1, 1951 began an official fusion of those two villages into one city with administration. During that time, fast development of the new city started. Automotive and textile industry became first industries that were powering the city. In 1975, Bielsko-Biala became a capital of the Bielsko region, and a new automotive factory, and still developing and advancing Textile factory became a main objects of the city.
