A dry red wine of the native Piedmontese Nebbiolo grape. It is a refined version of Barbaresco from the Montestefano vineyard, because Riserva is made only in the best years. Certainly the year 2006 belongs to them, as for Piemonte is qualified as an elegant, hence the choice of the manufacturer to make a wine with enhanced flavor values and strong structure. The Barbaresco Riserva Montestefano was aged in large barrels for 36 months and then in the bottle. This is a very elegant wine with deep red brilliant color that with age presents orange hues.
Color: intensely deep red, brilliant, with time turning orange.
Aroma: notes of cherries, preserves of red fruit, violet, rose, delicate notes of spices, resin.
Flavor: dry, decisive and very elegant.
Food matching: meat-filled pasta dishes, game roasts, braised red meats and matured cheeses.
