informations about producer

Cantina dellla Vernaccia - a wine cooperative founded ni 1953 by the owners of vineyards from the surroundings of Oristano in Sardinia. Picteresque areas of the Sinis Peninsula, the north-western part of the island, and a unique local microclimate provide ideal conditions for winegrowing. Stagno di Cabras or Cabras Lake and closeness to the Mediterranean Sea offer proper humidity. Calcareous and clayey areas, rich in mineral salts and organic substances, are favourable to cultivation of many grape varieties. White Vernaccia di Oristano, Vermentino di Sardegna, red Nieddera and Canonnau and Monica di Sardegna dominate here.

Thanks to modern technological facilities and high quality of the grapes provided by the cooperative members, the wines with a lebel of this producer are a guaranty of quality and favourable price. The tradition of wine production that respects territory on which are planted vineyards makes the majority of the wines in the cooperative‘s offer is obtained from native grapes. Many small producers united their passion, skills and hard work, so that their cooperative could be competitive on Italian and international wine market. A silver medal won in the world‘s competition in Bruxells in 2013 is proof of quality of our partner‘s wines. By this medal was awarded the wine, Montiprama Nieddera Rosso IGT Valle del Tirso.
