informations about producer

Tenuta Scuotto, a small family-run winery from the town of Lapio, in the zone of Irpinia in Avellino province. In this charming place in Campania situated in the foodhills of Monte Tuoro, Eduardo and his son Adolfo cultivate 5 hectares of vineyards. White Fiano dominates here, there are also Greco di Tufo, Falanghina and red Taurasi made from Aglianico. Thanks to the commitment of these extremely hospitable and friendly people not only a specific wine was created, but a wine-making project called ’Oi Ni’, Fiano in purezza, a monovarietal wine made after a late harvest. This wine is vinified in Alsatian oak barrels, without the addition of yeasts, and without stabilization and filtration. A unique, original wine that develops with age. It won many awards among which Oscar del vino 2016 granted by Gambero Rosso. Each of the wines made by the Scuotto estate has a unique character and is an expression of the territory of Irpinia. The motif of a face emerging on all wine labels, originating from an ancient statue, is an element of wine identity, something that has personality. Excellent wines, well-made and genuine.
