Dry red wine of Nebbiolo varietal. Another wine from the Valtellina Superiore variety, originating from the subzone of Sassella, located at an altitude of 250 to 550 m above sea level. This zone is the most famous of the four denominations belonging to Valtellina. A wine with a good structure and depth, aged for two years in Slovenian oak barrels and for over a year in the bottle. Goes well with meat-based dishes.

A dry red wine from the native Tuscan grape Sangiovese with the addition of Syrah. Tenuta La Gabbiola is the name of a vineyard where the grapes are grown organically using the minimum of chemicals. Clayey-sandy soils yield ripe grapes of Sangiovese and Syrah with a big aromatic potential. The harvest is done manually, after more than ten days of fermentation the young wine goes to 2500 litre oak casks, where it matures for more than one year. After such ageing the wine develops the whole wealth of aromas and flavors of excellent Chianti Classico maintaining the balance between delicate hints of wood and fresh fruit. Very good.

A dry red wine of the indigenous Sangiovese Grosso grape variety. Brunello is one of the most famous wines of Tuscany. Its recipe was developed in the nineteenth century, and according to this formula the wine has to mature for 4 months before going on sale. The vineyards of our supplier, Luigi Anania, are situated in the southern slopes, well sunned and properly ventilated, in the surrounding area of Montalcino. The wine was aged in oak barrels for 42 months. Brunello is an elegant and demanding wine. Its bottle must be open at least a few hours before serving to bring out a wealth of aromas and flavors.

Tokai of Friuli, known colloquially as Friulano to not raise associations with the famous Hungarian wine, is an example of wine strongly linked to its territory. It occurs throughout the region, but depending on the area of origin change its characteristics. Friulano of the vineyard called Ronc de Schene has an interesting scent note, the wine is soft and very pleasant despite the relatively high alcohol content. It is perfect as an addition to an aperitif and light meals.

Dry red wine of Campanian native grape called Barbera del Sannio. It comes from vineyards located in the hill areas in the surroundings of Castelvenere, in the province of Benevento in the north-eastern part of the region. Usually associated with Piedmont, Barbera, cultivated here since two centuries, is, however, a different wine with other character than its cousin from the north. The local winegrowers proudly claim that their Barbera is much better. Indeed, is worth tasting to appreciate this pleasant wine scenting of fruit.

Our supplier buys grapes in the town of Castagnito and then vinifies them in its own cellars. In the Piedmontese dialect Arneis is fractious and unruly character. Similarly, this wine tastes - is expressed, strong and distinctive.
