A dry red wine from the native Basilicata grape Aglianico del Vulture. If there are unique wines, one of these certainly is La Terrazza. As its producer says “it’s a result of sacrifice and love for vineyards” yielding this marvelous wine. Made from best selection of grapes harvested late at the end of November, aged for two years in small oak barrels, and for one year in the bottle. Actually, the weight and dimensions of the bottle make quite an impression, but more impressing are its contents. A velvety winey nectar that can be derived only from this modest and far corner of Italy. It’s a wine for special occasions and above all for people who can appreciate the charm of authentic wine that doesn’t need advertisement.
Color: ruby red with orangereflections, shimmering Aroma: complex, rich, ethereal, balsamic Flavor: warm, velvety almost dense Food matching: excellent with tasty meat-based dishes, lamb, seasoned cheeses. The bottle should be opened at least a few hours before serving.
